One of the things that I’ve been hearing a lot recently in the “people development” space is the importance of intentionality and purpose. The message from these notable figures is that for us to live a life with fulfillment and purpose we need to be intentional with how we show up each day. This is nothing new to those of you who’ve followed what I’ve been doing over the past couple of years with regard to Life IQ Living and the importance of Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Relational health. You can access the many complimentary resources, teachings, etc. here.

Recently a client stated, “doing the mental work and purposely pausing to reset my mindset was okay but without physical exercise I was going into a place of depression.” She went on to say that she was experiencing overwhelm as a result of her sliding towards the depression. Brain science reminds us that feelings of overwhelm come quicker and last longer than the positive feelings we have. Physical exercise and movement is critical to release the positive endorphins and chemicals into our system.

Now I know this is a challenge for many of us. I sure don’t like getting up on a dark and cold morning to go to the gym, but the results are so worth it! Another big factor that I’ve noticed influencing our actions is that we are tired because of the pandemic so we are looking for a way to un-plug versus push ourselves.

So what about you? What can you do to move the area of physical movement just a bit further? By the way, my client began moving again which has resulted in some amazing progress in all areas of her life. Feel free to reach out for a complimentary 15-minute call and we can discuss how you can integrate Life IQ Living into your life.
