Anyone who knows me and has followed the writing, teaching and coaching I have done over the years knows how much I am a believer in showing up intentionally to be your best every day. That mindset is what helps me perform well, not perfect, but way more effectively than if I did not have intentional practices to perform at my best each day.

I am realizing one of the side effects of that however can be a sense of pushing myself and not recognizing and affirming how I am showing up with positive habits each day. While sitting with the Lord recently I sensed Him say, “I am so pleased with how you seek Me each day and ask Me for guidance, insight, strength and provision, affirming my good intentions for you and unconditional love and grace toward you.”

I am sure many of you show up each day to live it fully and with intention as well. We can focus more on what we did not get done or where we fell short each day leading us to a critical view of ourselves and really miss the growth we are experiencing and the pleasure God has in us. I hope you will receive God’s affirmation of your efforts today. By doing so, you’ll find yourself operating from His rest. I invite you to comment and share how you live with intentionality and shine a light on the positive thoughts and actions in your life.
