I don’t know about you, but I think many of us have grown weary. Weary of Covid, weary of loss, weary of lockdowns, and weary from uncertainty. I know I sure have!

I’m naturally hopeful of new possibilities as I step into a new year, but the weariness has me needing hope and belief that better things are possible. This weariness turned me to seeking God and how he wants me to show up each day. Here are a few keys from what I’m learning:

  • The first key is to show up daily and not try to live more than one day at a time. I recently heard a speaker share about the idea of living the present day fully, not letting the past hold you back nor concerns for the future. He called this living in “day-tight” compartments.
  • Second, I’ve found it also is important that I don’t let my feelings, whether they’re high or low, dictate reality. For example, I can find myself being anxious when my prayers aren’t being answered in the time frame that I think is best. That is when I need to step back and let God answer my prayers in his time and in his way. My privilege is to commune with him, rest in his promises, and trust in his unchangeable character. That he will do exactly what he said he will do which is abundantly above what I can ask or think! That I am experiencing his goodness each and every day.
  • The last thing that I’ll share that I’ve also found helpful is doing an end of day review. This gives me a chance to consider who I’ve helped each day, if I’ve been anxious or fearful that day and what that was about, and end the day with thanks for the good things that I’ve experienced.

If you like at this time, I hope he will give some of these ideas a try. To learn more about how to show up daily to be the best version of yourself as possible please visit lifeiqliving.com. You can also schedule a 15-minute call to connect to discuss your 2022 journey.
